Nathan Hale 1755

“I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country.”

*If today was your last, what would your only regret be?

DeAndre Hopkins 1992

Any young athletes wanna get some work in meet me at Herman park Miller Outdoor theatre tomorrow at 9am

*Just like the above tweet, wake up and go to a local park to work out at 9 am.

Björn Borg 1956

Because no state or religion should control love, we launched a platform where anyone around the globe can get married #marriageunblocked #LGBTQ #PrideMonth

*Just like the above tweet, I agree with tennis legend Bjorn Borg – that you should be able to marry who you love.

What are your thoughts on this?

Eli Broad 1933

Broad is the only person to create 2 Fortune 500 businesses in different industries.

“Someone once told me I’m a sore winner, and they’re right. I rarely take more than a moment to enjoy a success before I’m moving on and looking for the next challenge.”

*Never settle, keep moving.

Paul Giamatti 1967 (so close to 6/6/66) – watch Cinderella Man

*If this movie doesn’t motivate you to improve your mind, body, and soul – it may be time to refocus. Watch Giamatti get robbed of an Oscar for best supporting actor.

Natalie Morales 1972 – chicken and dumplings (from her own cookbook)

*Make her slow cooker chicken and dumpling recipe

I was born in Northwestern Pennsylvania and lived in a trailer park. I was raised by very conservative and religious (Wesleyan Methodist) parents. By some miracle I graduated college and moved to Florida. I have been a public school teacher since 1995. I have 7 years until I can retire. I was married in 1999 and divorced in 2001. I remarried in 2017 to Kate - 21 years my junior. Some of my life experiences as a 46-year-old, white American male, will come through in my writing, but the majority of this daily journey will be dedicated to improving myself, and hopefully you as well.
