MENOUNOS AND MARGULIES DAY

MIND

Jerry Stiller 1927 (d. 2020)

“During the Great Depression, when people laughed their worries disappeared. Audiences loved these funny men. I decided to become one.”

*What makes your worries disappear?

How can you help make other’s worries disappear?

BODY

Maria Menounos 1978

“One of the great privileges of my career is having access to the world’s best experts, healers, thought leaders, and celebs, through my time w/ the Today Show, Nightly News, E! and other global stages. Now, I’m sharing that incredible rolodex with YOU, so that you too can have access to transform your life with PRACTICAL, accessible, daily takeaways that will start you on the ever-evolving journey to discovering your best self.”

*Sounds a lot like 365dolf.com to me. Go to her website and reflect on the following –

Health & Wellbeing 3 steps to total realignment

Master Your Gut Health

SOUL

Gabby Giffords 1970

“Which baptism truly heals?  Do we need the water of God, or the blood of a 9-year-old laying on a street in Tucson?  The answer is profoundly and simply obvious.  We need redemption gushing from the rivers of God’s love, not that of blood-soaked sidewalks.

If we don’t speak for the soul, our silence will surely aid evil.”

*Speak for the soul. Don’t let your silence aid evil. Think of getting baptized.

MONEY

Kanye West 1977

“I got a problem with spending before I get it” from All Falls Down

*Don’t spend money that you do not have yet. Listen to Kanye for motivation.

ENTERTAINMENT

Julianna Margulies 1966 – watch The Good Wife

*Watch Margulies win a Golden Globe for her role in The Good Wife.

FOOD

Barbara Bush 1925 – mushroom quiche

The night before she died, Bush was alert and was having conversations, along with a glass of bourbon.

*She was married to the vice president for 8 years, then married to the president for 4 more years, and then was the mother to the president for 8 more years. Enjoy her mushroom quiche and wash it down with a glass of bourbon and conversation.

BONUS: Keenan Ivory Wayans 1958

“You know, my health is no laughing matter. My vegetarian diet helps me stay healthy and fit. Not just for myself, but for the one’s I love. From pasta primavera, a hearty vegetable soup, or my mother’s red beans and rice.  Delicious and good for you. That’s no joke. Tonight, make it vegetarian.”

*Make pasta primavera, vegetable soup, and red beans and rice to make it vegetarian all day.

I was born in Northwestern Pennsylvania and lived in a trailer park. I was raised by very conservative and religious (Wesleyan Methodist) parents. By some miracle I graduated college and moved to Florida. I have been a public school teacher since 1995. I have 7 years until I can retire. I was married in 1999 and divorced in 2001. I remarried in 2017 to Kate - 21 years my junior. Some of my life experiences as a 46-year-old, white American male, will come through in my writing, but the majority of this daily journey will be dedicated to improving myself, and hopefully you as well.
