Helena Bonham Carter 1966

“Confidence comes and goes in life, at different ages and different times. A bit like… tides. You definitely get more of it as you get older.”

*Each day 365DOLF focuses on famous people getting older, but so are you. With that aging comes added confidence.

Lenny Kravitz 1964

“Take a picture of yourself, do this routine at least 3 times a week for a month and take another picture – including the big grin on your face!”

*Take a picture of yourself. Then do Lenny’s workout. When you take a picture of yourself next year on his birthday, you will see a new you.

Dr. Jack Kevorkian 1928

“Dr. Kevorkian, My son is dying of Lou Gehrig’s disease. … He would like your help to leave this world and free his soul to everlasting life,”

After Dr. Kevorkian assisted in her son’s suicide, she wrote again: “It is impossible for me to express the blessing of your assistance and the gratitude I feel as a mother.”

*My wife knows that I do not want to live in a vegetative state. She is to pursue all means of me leaving this world and freeing my SOUL.

What are your thoughts on this?

Make sure your loved ones know.

Hank Williams, Jr. 1949

“Well now money can’t buy you happiness but neither can poor ole me
Money won’t help you very much if you wanna find true love
But that don’t mean just being poor will make you better off”

*Don’t be a martyr. All things equal, go for the money. Don’t strive to be poor – you won’t be able to help anyone, most importantly yourself. Strive to be rich and then give it all away if you truly want to be poor. Listen to Hank Williams, Jr. for motivation.

How could money buy you happiness?

I was born in Northwestern Pennsylvania and lived in a trailer park. I was raised by very conservative and religious (Wesleyan Methodist) parents. By some miracle I graduated college and moved to Florida. I have been a public school teacher since 1995. I have 7 years until I can retire. I was married in 1999 and divorced in 2001. I remarried in 2017 to Kate - 21 years my junior. Some of my life experiences as a 46-year-old, white American male, will come through in my writing, but the majority of this daily journey will be dedicated to improving myself, and hopefully you as well.
