NEW YEAR’S DAY – 2022
George Washington Carver 1864
“How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in your life you will have been all of these.”
*Describe how you plan to do each of the following this year –
Be tender with the young
Compassionate with the aged
Sympathetic with the striving
Tolerant of the weak and strong
Morris Chestnut 1969
*Follow along with Morris Chestnut’s 10-minute workout and think about making it your go-to work out this year.
John Smith 1580 and Pocahontas 1595
*They share a birthday, but their people could not overcome their differences. Use this year to recognize the differences in the people around you and embrace what makes them different.
Who is 1 person that you could connect to this year?
Betsy Ross 1752
*She worked hard for others, but it was to keep her upholstery business alive. By the end of this year, hopefully you will realize how important it is to strive for your own business – not to make someone else rich.
What is your dream business?
How can you work hard towards getting this dream business started this year?
Verne Troyer 1969 – watch Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002)
*The last and best of the Austin Powers trilogy. Maybe start a New Year’s Day tradition of watching all three. Use Verne Troyer’s character “Mini Me” as inspiration to start the New Year.
What is 1 way that Mini Me inspired you for this year?
JD Salinger 1919
The Catcher in the Rye (1951)
I’m a very light eater. I really am. That’s why I’m so damn skinny. I was supposed to be on this diet where you eat a lot of starches and crap, to gain weight and all, but I didn’t ever do it. When I’m out somewhere, I generally just eat a Swiss cheese sandwich and a malted milk. It isn’t much, but you get quite a lot of vitamins in the malted milk.
*Start a New Year’s Day tradition of a Swiss cheese sandwich (on rye) and a malted milk
WHO GOT SNUBBED? Elin Nordegren 1980 (net worth of $200 million)
