If we look at the ancient scriptures that describe a kundalini awakening where boundless spiritual energy is freed from the root of the spine and travels up the spinal column to bring energy to the pineal gland in the center of the brain – it seems obvious what Michelangelo is trying to say – no religion, no science can keep humankind from ascending spiritually.

“Ancora Imparo” I am still learning

He said that at age 87, the last year of his life. When he was assigned the task of painting the Sistine Chapel ceiling not only did he not care for painting, but he was by no means an expert at it. Had Michelangelo not accepted this offer he would have gone down as arguably the greatest sculptor of all time. By taking up that task, he threw his name in the hat for the greatest painter of all time as well.

*You know that I love this – “No religion, no science can keep humankind from ascending spirituality.”

Always be learning. Even if you’re the greatest there ever was, there is no reason you can’t be even better.

Tim Howard 1979

“I am constantly strengthening my core because that’s what gives me the ability to react faster and the stability to control my body better,” Tim says.

Core Strength:

  • Med Ball Russian Twists: 3 sets of 10 reps each side
  • Dead Bugs: 3 sets of 10 reps each side
  • Physio-ball Roll-outs: 3 sets of 10 reps

“That’s because your core muscles are the base of support for your entire body,” says Meredith McHale, P.T., D.P.T., regional clinical director at Professional Physical Therapy. They completely surround and support your spine and pelvis and connect your upper body and lower body, effectively transferring forces from one to the other.

*Complete Tim Howard’s core strength workout and then play a game of soccer – it’s ok if you play goalie today.

`Your prayer, Sir William, is indeed very short; but I remember another as short, but a much better, offered up likewise by a poor soldier in the same circumstances: `O God, if in the day of battle I forget thee, do not thou forget me!

*Say this prayer today. This might be one that you want to say every day. O God, if in the day of battle I forget thee, do not thou forget me!’

Wolfgang Bodison started in the mail room at Reiner’s production company, Castle Rock, before becoming a production assistant, then Reiner’s personal assistant on Misery. He was scouting locations for A Few Good Men when Reiner decided Bodison looked like a Marine and that he should act in the film. Bodison has gone on to act in other films, as well as write and direct.

I was born in Northwestern Pennsylvania and lived in a trailer park. I was raised by very conservative and religious (Wesleyan Methodist) parents. By some miracle I graduated college and moved to Florida. I have been a public school teacher since 1995. I have 7 years until I can retire. I was married in 1999 and divorced in 2001. I remarried in 2017 to Kate - 21 years my junior. Some of my life experiences as a 46-year-old, white American male, will come through in my writing, but the majority of this daily journey will be dedicated to improving myself, and hopefully you as well.
